Odyssey Mobile Escape Rooms displayed for the first time out at the Polar Bear Plunge in Annapolis, MD. It was cold, but everyone put on their game faces and came by to check us out despite them being soaking wet with smiles on faces. The crowd was bigger and more passionate then they've ever been with the top squad bringing in over $50,000 in charitable proceeds- shout out to the South River Snohawks!
Despite the downpour on Thursday (which made it even more ominous looking out onto the beach and into the water) and the subsequent pool-sized puddles in the staging area, it was a major win for everyone at the event. The Plunge is put on by the Special Olympics Maryland who do fantastic work for those with intellectual disabilities and their families. The Olympians were out in force as well, and the families and friends supporting them rallied around them. Everyone from the team behind it to the volunteers to the employees who were there keeping all of us going with warm food were amazing. Thanks to everyone!
You can check out photos from the event at their Facebook page or on their website- both listed below. Check them out, show your support, and join us next year when we bring out bigger, better experiences to such a great event!
